A Danish Christmas: Hallmark Heads to Copenhagen on 1 November

The Short Version

A Danish Christmas premieres on Hallmark Channel on Sunday 1 November 2026 at 8 p.m. (7 Central), and streams on Hallmark+ from the next day. It stars Emilie Ullerup and Corey Sevier.

The Story

Marie is a hotel tech executive in Chicago who goes home to Copenhagen for Christmas, to help at her family's inn. Her mother plans to sell the inn after New Year, and Marie wants to change her mind.

So when a guest called Ryan Miller checks in, Marie decides he's a travel writer and sets out to make his stay unforgettable. She even revives the inn's old Christmas tour. Her efforts lead to what Hallmark calls "festive fiascos", but they also lead to a connection, because Ryan isn't quite who she thinks he is. Marie learns that warmth and romance can't be manufactured; they just happen.

Why It's Worth a Look

  • A real overseas setting: a Copenhagen Christmas, with all the fairy lights and hygge you'd hope for.
  • A Danish lead: Emilie Ullerup, Danish-born and known to Hallmark fans from Chesapeake Shores, gets a story set in Denmark.
  • Mistaken identity: one of the genre's most reliable engines. Someone always thinks someone is someone else, and the Christmas tour pays the price.

Same Weekend on Hallmark

It rounds off a three-night run of new premieres: Who's Coming for Christmas? on Friday 30 October, Adopting St. Nick on Saturday 31 October, and A Danish Christmas on Sunday 1 November.

The Closing Line

A tech executive wants to save the family inn by giving a stranger the five-star treatment. In fairness, that's also how every hotel review site works.
