Who's Coming for Christmas? Hallmark's Empty-Table Christmas Movie Premieres 30 October

The Short Version

Who's Coming for Christmas? premieres on Hallmark Channel on Friday 30 October 2026 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, as part of this year's Countdown to Christmas. It streams on Hallmark+ from the next day.

The Cast

  • Rhiannon Fish as Julie
  • Jake Foy as Mark, her neighbour
  • Mila Morgan as Vanessa, Mark's daughter

The Story

Julie has a new home and a plan her late grandmother would have loved: host Christmas Eve dinner with no guest list. She's sure friends and neighbours will fill all eight seats at the table. Mark and his daughter Vanessa are in, but then the weather turns, and it takes, in Hallmark's words, "a little Christmas magic" to fill the table.

It's a very Hallmark setup. There's a big-hearted heroine, a handsome neighbour, an adorable kid, and a snowstorm on a mission. You can probably guess who ends up in the seat next to Julie. But Hallmark isn't selling surprise. It's selling two hours on the sofa with a blanket.

Same Week on Hallmark

It opens a busy weekend of new Countdown to Christmas movies: Adopting St. Nick premieres on Saturday 31 October, and A Danish Christmas on Sunday 1 November.

FAQ

When and where?

Friday 30 October 2026, 8 p.m. ET/PT, on Hallmark Channel. It's on Hallmark+ from 31 October.

Is it a series or a movie?

A one-off TV movie.

Christmas movies on 30 October?

Yes. Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas starts in October every year, so you're watching Christmas romance while the neighbours are still carving pumpkins.

The Closing Line

Eight empty chairs, one snowstorm and one handsome neighbour next door. We'd bet the turkey on who gets the seat next to Julie.
